Proposed Change: 40-01-09

L. (2)

All exhibitors and owners/co-owners must be current members of NRHA.  All NRHA members may renew or purchase their memberships at the show.  NRHA Professional members may renew at a show if they present their previous year’s Professionals card to the show secretary and pay the annual $50.00 fee.  New Professional applicants must complete a Professionals Application and submit it with the annual $50.00 Professionals fee, a completed membership application and membership dues. Non Pro members may renew at a show…

Intent of Proposal (include additional pages as necessary): to allow Professionals to apply for Professionals status at the show so that they can compete.

CURRENTLY, MEMBERS OF THE PRO-MANDATORY PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP ARE LOBBYING FOR REGIONAL DIRECTORS POSITIONS AND ARE TAKING ON OTHER POLITICALLY ACTIVE ROLLS.  WHILE THIS IS THE ENCOURAGED RIGHT OF EVERY NRHA MEMBER, PROFESSIONAL OR NOT, THE RISK HERE IS THAT BY MANDATING NRHA PROFESSIONALS MEMBERSHIP, A FEW HIGH PROFILE TRAINERS MAY BE UNJUSTLY CLAIMING TO REPRESENT ALL PROFESSIONALS, WHETHER THEY ARE SUPPORTED BY THE MAJORITY OF NRHA TRAINERS OR NOT.
