The NRHA Board of Directors recently approved the
following changes to the
process for submission of proposed rule and bylaw
changes. This process will help
NRHA to better communicate with the membership regarding
proposed and
approved rule and bylaw changes.
The NRHA Board of Directors has also introduced a new
meeting schedule,
and has changed the fall NRHA General Membership meeting
from the Quarter
Horse Congress in October to August in Oklahoma City.
This new fall meeting
is thus far NOT in conjunction with any show or event.

i.e.) NRHA's late
November "The Source" announcement states that
rule change proposals are due at the NRHA
Convention, but NRHA's new Rule Change form
states the deadline as no later than June 1st,
2008. In addition, the new General Membership
VOTE will be at the August meeting, to be held
in conjunction with the Board of Director's
meeting in Oklahoma City. This means final
submittals for bylaw proposals would be due 120
days prior to the meeting (April).
